PBNU Jelaskan Kenapa Kedaulatan Palestina Harus Terus Dibela • Fatwa NU

Kedaulatan bangsa Palestina kembali digoyang setelah Presiden Amerika Serikat Donald Trump mengklaim Yerusalem sebagai Ibu Kota Israel. Seketika pernyataan sepihak ini menuai kecaman banyak negara, termasuk Indonesia karena AS dan Israel melanggar kesepakatan damai yang selama ini coba dibangun.

Diplomasi kultural juga dilakukan oleh Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) untuk membela kedaulatan bangsa Palestina. Hal ini menurut Ketua Umum Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Said Aqil Siroj tidak lain karena bangsa Indonesia juga mempunyai hutang budi kepada Palestina ketika memproklamirkan kemerdekaan pada 17 Agustus 1945. “Kita bangsa Indonesia mempunyai hutang budi kepada Palestina karena merekalah negara yang pertama kali mengakui kemerdekaan Indonesia, setelah itu Mesir kemudian diikuti oleh bangsa-bangsa lain,” ungkap Kiai Said kepada NU Online sesaat sebelum Aksi 1712 digelar di Monas.

Terkait Aksi Bela Palestina yang dilaksanakan umat Islam Indonesia pada Ahad hari ini di Monas Jakarta, Kiai Said sepenuhnya mendukung karena alasan kedaulatan sesama bangsa harus dibela. Apalagi Palestina negara pertama yang mengakui kemerdekaan Indonesia.

Terkait aksi bela Palestina ini, NU melalui sejumlah kader mudanya telah melakukan aksi damai di depan Kedubes AS pada Jumat (8/12) lalu di Jakarta untuk memprotes pernyataan Trump soal Yerusalem.

Kali ini, Kiai Said juga mempersilakan para warga NU untuk melakukan aksi damai bersama elemen ormas lain. Namun, Kiai Said mengimbau kepada para kader NU untuk tidak membawa atribut maupun bendera NU untuk mengajak kepada ormas lain agar bergerak murni atas nama umat Islam Indonesia.

Aksi di Monas ini dikomandoi langsung oleh Ketua MUI Pusat yang juga Rais Aam PBNU KH Ma’ruf Amin dan H Marsudi Syuhud (Ketua PBNU) sebagai Ketua Pelaksana Aksi. (Fathoni)
